On this Land Rover Discovery series 2
our unobtrusive lpg conversion is fitted. The gas computers are mounted
next to the vehicle jack. Fancy a powerfully 4x4 which is much cheaper
to run than the diesel version, then an LPG conversion could be the
answer.

peoples' expectation is that we exchange the engine during an LPG

required. In most case we refit the original engine cover after

several of the current model Range-Rover - L322. Both the BMW and
Jaguar engines are suitable, as is the Supercharged engine. By far the
biggest concern the owners have, is the placement of the LPG filler
point, or the "barnacle" as one repeat owners refers to it. The most
suitable filler placement on the L322 is in the valance on the rear
off-side.

"Flagship" is a very suitable candidate for LPG conversions. We have
numerous of these autogas converted vehicles still running after
several hundred thousand miles clocked. Tanks can either hold 72 litres
behind the rear seats or 45 litres in place of the spare wheel. The
Autogas conversion filler mounted in rear wing, is the only difference
that is noticeable.

People Carriers with LPG Autogas installations
Multiple seat utility vehicles are
becoming more frequent. Many Taxi / Private Hire companies regularly
put 50 000miles a year on our LPG Autogas conversions. The petrol
powered vehicles are less expensive to buy and with an LPG
conversion can be significantly cheaper to run than their diesel
counterparts. The 3.3 litre Voyager can return on with an Autogas
conversion 21mpg on a high speed motorway run. Which is similar to
44mpg than one gets from a diesel estate car. |

The petrol powered 4x4 has always been
the top of the range model. As the diesel engine versions become more
popular their prices have been raised to a premium. The lpg
conversion has come of age for the rural driver, now there are
plenty of Autogas filling stations about. Why have a 26 mpg diesel when
an automatic V8 Discovery can return an equivalent 36 mpg at high
motorway speeds

Volvo V40 T4 Turbo
LPG Conversion
These vehicles have built in design
features specially for gas conversions. There is space for the gas fill
valve area under the filler flap, the engines inlet manifold is cast to
accommodate gas injectors. The Teleflex SGi system mates impeccably
with both the injected and the Turbo engines. Currently (Jan '06) the
only Volvo Turbo engine we haven't yet installed an Autogas system to
is the S80R........

This vehicle uses the Icom JTG liquid
injection - lpg conversion. Blistering performance and impressive 29mpg
gas fuel economy
Recent joiners and
leavers have been Liquid injection systems such as Vialle and Icom JTG
liquid injection. The fuel is injected into the engine in a liquid
state. The actual LPG fuel delivery rate is calibrated to be the same
as the existing petrol system. This allows the vehicle engine
management system to directly control the LPG fuelling. Technical
difficulties have forced Nicholson McLaren to remove this product.

For many years we have

injection systems - AG systems SGi and Necam-Koltec. Necam Koltec
systems have been factory fitted by Vauxhall, Volvo and Ford. Since
early in 2005 we have been undergoing training on the factory-fit
Vauxhall systems, we are now capable of servicing and fault diagnosis
of Necam Koltec products and have attained recognition from several
local main agents when retro-fitting these systems. We are a Vauxhall

Autogas Lpg conversion systems and installations
From now on NOT all Autogas - LPG
systems are the same. Icom and Nicholson McLaren Engines have
introduced LPG Liquid gas injection - JTG. Not all systems have
regulators which change the liquid gas into vapour. They all have
dashboard mounted switches and an external filler. Examples of Teleflex
GFI (aka AG Systems) SGi, BRC Sequent, Iwema systems and the superseded
Tartarini eTAgas & TEC97. We only fit European tanks with electric
opening valves. And can source vapour take-off to feed BBQ's and

BMW LPG

Photos of a Liquid Gas Injection
conversion. This BMW LPG installation has Icom JTG fitted. This form of
LPG installation uses a conversion that injects dense, still
pressurised LPG directly into the inlet manifold. It is a "real-time"
injection system operated directly by the vehicles own ECU. Details of
the liquid injection system components can be seen
below
Arun Autogas are very proud to work with this developed by Nicholson
